It's Saturday morning and raining. Quite a good time to get on with writing I thought, yet here I am blogging instead of working on the new novel. For those of you who haven't yet read Caught in the Web - you're probably bored with hearing about it, but I couldn't resist copying all the comments I've had about it on Facebook -
If you are waiting for the next free instalment on this blog, then you'll have to wait until Thursday.
Ah - the sun is shining now - I may just have to go out into the garden for a bit.
I live in a beautiful village in the south of England - about eight miles from the Solent. The perfect place to live as it's within easy reach of Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, and Chichester. We have a large garden which opens into a water meadow. There are often deer in the garden - unfortunately they enjoy eating the trees and shrubs. We have squirrels and many birds. Pheasants find our garden a sanctuary from the shoots that happen on the "Estate", and we see many kinds of Tits (the bird variety), goldfinches, sparrows, woodpeckers, wagtails, wrens, nuthatches, swallows and house martens to mention just a few.
Opposite our home is the village pub and we spend many an hour there people watching and enjoying a drink.
Tomorrow we're off to Bristol for a quick one night stay. Celebrating my birthday by exploring a place I've never been before. Should be fun.
